Mairangi Arts Centre is proud to present the 12th Hibiscus & Bays Art Awards!n annual exhibition that celebrates the diversity and depth of creative practice across New Zealand. Sponsored and proudly supported by Auckland Council’s Hibiscus & Bays Local Board, this prestigious event brings together a curated selection of artists working across all media. On view from the 23rd May - 13 June. 

We are pleased to have our Judges this year: Natanahira Pona & Paul Slater who will be selecting our Finalists & Merit Prize Award Winners. Works will be on public display from 23 May to 13 June 2026. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to engage with high-caliber contemporary art and experience the talent of both established and emerging New Zealand artists.

We invite you to visit the gallery, explore the collection, and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. Many works will be available for purchase, providing a chance to support the local arts community directly.

Launching Our Youth 🚀🚀

Join us for a dynamic launch event celebrating the grit and creativity of Rangitoto College’s young entrepreneurs. After months of planning and innovation, these student-led startups are finally hitting the market—and they’re doing it across two Mairangi Bay locations on Saturday 9th May as seen in the poster.
