Welcome to Mairangi Arts Centre

Mairangi Arts Centre is a vibrant, community based visual arts education facility and exhibition venue.

We are open Monday- Friday 9:30am – 4:00pm and 10AM – 2PM on Saturdays (Closed Sundays & during New Zealand holidays)

Our mission is to engage and empower our diverse communities through the arts. We provide an extensive art programme for children, teens and adults in a range of mediums.

We host exhibitions open to the public and have a dedicated space for our own members to showcase their latest creations.

Our membership options for adults and youth artists are best suited for those that wish to regularly participate in classes and workshops. We host special membership events, provide discounted classes and have opportunities for members to be active at the community centre.

Classes & Workshops

Our visual art progamme offers weekly classes for ages 5 years up to adults on a term by term basis. We also offer a school holiday programme as well as workshops. Browse through our class offerings of Clay making, Crystal Cast Glass, Watercolours, Acrylic & Oil painting, Soapmaking & more

How you can support us

Mairangi Art Centre (MAC) Board of Trustees has a vacancy for a Trustee. Someone willing to support Auckland's North Shore Community with its aim of promoting the Arts.

With a view to maintaining good governance and the ongoing successful operation, MAC is looking for a volunteer with experience, particularly it the field of IT and/or Finance.

Your commitment is to a monthly Board meeting (1 to 1 and a half hours), together with the occasional input/guidance to the fulltime employees (3) in matters relating to the successful running of the Centre.

We are seeking flyers from local cultural services and businesses to display during our Culture & Beyond Exhibition! This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the rich diversity within our community and celebrate our shared cultural spirit.

If you’d like to be featured, please send us your flyers by the 20th of March. Let’s come together to create a vibrant and inclusive display!
