Vanessa Mei Crofskey (Hokkien Chinese, Pakeha) is a multidisciplinary artist and writer. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Auckland University of Technology in 2017. Crofskey's writing has been published widely online and in print, including in the recently relaunched AUP New Poets 6, published by Auckland University Press, and The Pantograph Punch where she was a staff essayist. Her recent exhibitions include smoke signals(2019), Te Tuhi Billboards, New Artists Show, Artspace Aotearoa (2020) and Now You See Me (2021) at the Gus Fisher Gallery wtih Kimmi Rindel. She spends a lot of time thinking about waterways, migration stories, pop songs and ways to care for one another. Vanessa is currently working as the Director of Enjoy Contemporary Art Space, in Poneke Wellington.
