Throughout my life I have sketched and painted and been drawn to visual design. Every space moment was spent pursuing these interests. I attended North Shore Teachers College in the 70's and undertook a major study in art education, painting, drawing and printmaking.
I taught for many years in local primary schools where my extra curricular responsibility was planning and facilitating art programs. Students were given opportunities to experiment and build practical knowledge in a range of two to three dimensional media developing their ideas by observing and experimenting. In 2002 I was awarded a Higher Certificate in Art Education and in 2003 I gained a Graduate Diploma in Education specialising in Art Education from the Auckland College of Education.
I have been an Art Tutor in The Children's Art School at the University of Auckland since 2003 and I also held the position of Specialist Art Teacher for Junior and Middle School at Kadimah College.
To develop my practice as an artist I have undertaken many courses with Matthew Brown and have held several solo exhibitions. I currently have my work managed by Art by the Sea Gallery.
