The Chaekgeori Project is an initiative aimed at overcoming economic challenges by introducing works that reflect individual material perspectives, dreams, hopes, and personal aspirations. The project focuses on revitalising our communities by inspiring people to engage with their surrounding society, understand their position in the multicultural society, and foster positive thinking to set better directions for themselves in the face of economic difficulties.
This project, themed “물아일체(United of the ego and the outside world),” showcases the educational aspects of Chaekgeori, personal expressions of taste and desire, and objects embodying individual dreams and hopes in the paintings. It also explores the boundary between reality and the imaginary world through the fantastic charm and vibrant vitality of Chaekgeori folk paintings.
