Experience the calm and creativity of bonsai at Bonsai Connections, a hands‑on community workshop on Saturday, 3 October 2026.
From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Arthouse Studio, you’ll receive a live bonsai tree, soil, pot, tools and a printed guide—all free of charge. Sessions are offered in English and Mandarin and are open to everyone.
Our three core intentions are to foster connection, share the rich traditions of bonsai and penjing, and promote wellbeing with insights from Age Concern Auckland.

School art teachers, Kathie, Larissa and Sam, provided amazing mahi this week gathering, curating and displaying the spectacular collection of intermediate students’ artworks for the In2Art exhibition.
In2Art is a biennial exhibition featuring students’ artworks Year 7 and 8 Students in the Auckland region. The beautiful painting seen here is by Livvy Muller. This year’s exhibition features a diverse range of artwork from students at:

Lift A Moon Festival – A Free Family Cultural Day arrives on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at the Main Gallery, Mairangi Arts Centre. From noon to 4 pm, families are invited to celebrate together.
Enjoy games, a scavenger hunt, interactive crafts, delicious food and vibrant cultural performances that showcase the traditions that bind our migrant families in Aotearoa.
This day is made possible by the generosity of LIFTa, local businesses, community sponsors and dedicated volunteers – a true example of community supporting community.

Sept/Oct School Holiday bookings are officially open! ✨
If you’ve got a little Picasso at home, we’ve put together an awesome lineup of classes for the upcoming break. Instead of spending the holidays glued to a screen, your kids can get hands-on with painting, ceramics, textiles, comic design, jewellery-making, and plenty of other fun mediums! 🎨

One Day Clay Workshop – Sundays, 16:00‑18:00, from 30 August to 13 September 2026 in the 3D Studio. Tutor Livia Mu will guide you through a fun, hands‑on two‑hour session each week!
Hand‑Building (Ages 6+ & Families/Adults) offers a relaxed “have a go” experience where you’ll learn pinching, coiling and slab building to create your own functional pieces. Perfect for beginners, adults and families alike, with bilingual instruction in English and Mandarin.
Wheel‑Throwing (Ages 14+) lets you master the potter’s wheel, learning wedging, centering and pulling to shape bowls or cylinders. This immersive class is also taught in both English and Mandarin, and is open to anyone 14 years or older.
