We understand that creative activities and engagements within a supportive and positive environment can provide constructive opportunities for people to feel a sense of belonging, fostering community place-making.

Arty Crafty Club Afternoons

Children are introduced to a range of materials and techniques to explore their own creative ideas using drawing, painting, assemblage, mixed media, clay sculpture and more. This club is similar to the morning club where creative freedom is nurtured.

Tuesday Exploring Art

Please note this class has a late start, commencing Tuesday 20 October. What's your favourite animal on land and under the sea, now or long ago? Using paint, pastels, pencils or crayons we'll  create feathers and fur, teeth and claws, scales and fins.

Advanced Painting

Please note this class has a late start, commencing Wednesday 21 October. Develop art skills at all levels. Suitable for students preparing portfolio for further studies in Art and Design. New students must have previously taken ES02, or have met with the tutor before enrolling.

Finding Well-Being Through Art

Finding Well-Being through Art Workshop

Join art therapist Elaine Matthews Venter to explore art therapy as a way to express and understand your feelings. There will be an introduction to how art therapy processes work, as well as an opportunity to engage in a relaxing  arts therapy experiential aimed at enhancing well-being and self-awareness.

Figure Drawing Workshop

Welcome to a workshop on the figure, where you will get to understand just how vital looking is drawing from a live model. You will be guided through ways of using your materials to get the best from each sketch. We will cover line, form and shading techniques. Looking at the whole, as well as a focus in on features, such as face, feet and hands. And more looking.

Learn & Create

This workshop takes you through a self-exploration journey where you’ll create your very own works of art. Lucie will be there to help spark your imagination and provide all the materials you need to bring all ideas
to life. We’ll explore the inspiring women in our communities as well as those known worldwide and then you will work on a hand-embellished paper collage on canvas. This will strengthen your understanding of what  your sources of inspiration are and what attributes you are attacted to.
