First Steps in Watercolour

Learn step by step everything you need to know to produce saleable paintings under the guidance of one of New Zealand's most respected artists. This is a structured course that begins with the basics and builds towards proficiency through practice exercises and demonstration. If you are a total beginner or have some expertise already, this is the course for you.

Soap Making

Learn how to make soap from scratch using the cold process technique. 

Over six evenings, we will cover the basics of soap making and you will create six beautiful soaps to take home with you. Each evening will focus on a different colouring and swirling technique. This class is aimed at both beginners and advanced soap makers, for those wanting to explore colouring techniques, even if you have never made soap before. All materials are provided ($60 value) and included within the class fee.

Watercolour

Crystal Glass Evening

Students will work on their own work and learn to make glass objects via wax models, silicon mould-making, kiln mould-making. Lots of fun and a great class environment. Suitable all levels, beginners to advanced. Glass costs extra. Please bring $20 cash for bond for loan of wax. Bond will be refunded when students return wax.

Wednesdays Introduction to 3D Art

KIds will explore three-dimensional building with a variety of sculpting mediums ranging from ceramics to paper-mache, homemade porcelain and paper clay as well as natural and recycled materials. There are so many ways to create a sculpture and in this class kids will learn to use a bit of innovative thinking to achieve their creative goals. Age 5-7 years

Wheel Throwing Development For Young Adults.

A new class designed solely for young adults. Explore the art of the potters wheel, throwing, building and designing forms. This can include etching, carving, and use of slips. You will be challenged to explore design, unique shapes, and refine fundamental skills. You will also glaze your own vessels at the conclusion. For all levels.
